New Single

Keith Lionel Brown comes from a rich musical background. His mother, maternal grandmother, maternal great grandmother, and several aunts and cousins were all members of the gospel choir at the church that he attended growing up. The ladies were known as the Sacred Doves. There were also uncles and cousins that played musical instruments and sang in the various church groups like the Baptist Jubilees. Keith was even a member of the church’s youth choir during his teenage years. And, his youngest sister, Patricia, plays guitar, piano, organ, and drums, all by ear.

In 2019, at the age of 60, Keith was inspired to begin sharing bits and pieces of the story of his life through songs. He had never written a song, so he was at a loss as to where to begin.

One morning in March 2019, as he awoke and prepared to read his morning devotionals and the scriptures, the words and the melody to a song began playing in his head. He immediately grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and started writing down the words as fast as he could. In about 45 minutes, what would become his first original song was written. He felt inspired to name it, “Song of My Heart.”

Since the release of “Song of My Heart” on 12 April 2019, Keith has written two other songs – “Thy Word in My Heart” and “The Memories Live On” ( a loving tribute to his mother) – and is working on another song called “No More Regrets,” which is a loving tribute to his father. “The Memories Live On” was released on Valentine’s Day, Friday, 14 February 2020.
